About STFX Coin

STFX Coin are pioneering a concept of Single Trade Vaults – short-duration, non-custodial, active asset management vaults that are dedicated to one trade. Think of them as mini-vaults that only exist for the duration of the trade. STVs stand in contrast to long-term, continuous, multi-asset portfolios that have existed in DeFi and TradFi to date. STFX allows users to Create or Invest in short-term STVs focused on a single trade. Once in a while, many find an incredible trading opportunity.

Until today, all you could do in such a situation was share your trade setup with your friends on Twitter, Discord or Telegram. Besides trading your idea yourself, there was no way to share your opportunity directly with others or monetize it. The STFX platform allows you to turn your trade setup into an easily investable vault which can be joined by the community in minutes.

What is an STV?

Each STV is a DeFi Vault managed by a unique trader who is executing their proposed trading idea. An STV is strictly focused on executing 1 trade only. The execution of the trade occurs on Decentralized Derivatives Exchanges so everything is fully on-chain and non-custodial. Anyone is free to create or join an STV. When someone creates an STV, they have to fill in a series of parameters (i.e. Asset, Direction, Leverage, Planned Entry, Planned Target etc.) Planned Entry is simply a price the STV Manager is thinking of deploying their trade at.

It is not binding and not a limit order. The STV Manager will manually choose when and at which price to deploy their STV later after the vault has raised money. Planned Target is simply a price the STV Manager is thinking of closing the trade at. It is not binding and not a limit order. The STV Manager will manually choose when and at which price to close their STV in the future, after the STV has been deployed.

Why Choose STFX Coin?

STVs vs. Funds

In TradFi, investor often deposit capital to be actively managed for a large amount of time (months to years), which requires the manager to constantly be monitoring performance and anxiously adjusting allocation within a portfolio of assets. STFX simplifies the model by introducing discrete, single trade investments.

Trade managers no longer have to hold locked up funds for an extended period of time: trades are executed in a matter of hours, days, or weeks, and once the trade is over, there’s no pressure to immediately take a new one.

STVs vs. DeFi Vaults

In real life, vaults are secure storage containers where users deposit assets or other valuables. In DeFi terms, vaults also securely store assets, but they also allow additional behind-the-scenes maneuvering of funds for the purpose of earning returns on them. A number of protocols have launched since the days of Yearn Finance.

STFX is taking the concept of on-chain vaults and applying it to a new innovation that call STVs: non-custodial, active asset management vaults that live for the duration of one trade. STVs allow users to invest in singular trades.

STV Capacity

Managers will have vault restrictions based on their historical profile. In addition, the protocol will set a hard capped max dollar value that STVs can raise. As managers accumulate more history, they will unlock more features for future vaults. Staking STFX into their vault will allow them to access these perks more quickly, and allow them to raise higher collective values.

Priority Access

Large STFX token holders will get first access rights to high profile manager STVs that may be otherwise oversubscribed.

STV Advertising

In a competitive marketplace for investor mindshare, managers will be able to stake and/or buy and burn STFX to get higher visibility on the protocol’s discover page.
