Cronos ID Coin is the result of a need for communication and identity infrastructure on Cronos. Cronos ID Domains
The goal of Cronos ID’s identity layer is to map human-readable names like “Jack.cro” or “Jill.cro” to machine-readable identifiers – such machine-readable identifiers include onchain addresses, metadata, IPFS hashes and content hashes.
This layer allows “Jack” and “Jill” to:
- Host their own IPFS websites and NFT galleries
- Link users to their bio and info, including twitter profiles, email etc, by visiting their domains
- Send and receive cryptocurrency to/from Jack.cro or Jill.cro
- Create subdomains for their community to use
Users will no longer have to authenticate and contend with long and complex addresses. Individuals can choose to have their relevant information connected to their identity layer for ecosystem-wide usage.
Cronos ID Notifications
A web3 enabled notification service has its value deeply rooted in the fact that on chain activities cannot be tracked easily by users. Currently, it requires users to either run their own scripts or to periodically pull information manually.
