About Spiritswap Defi

Spiritswap Defi is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Fantom Opera Chain. SpiritSwap’s design was originally based on the Uniswap constant-product automated market maker (AMM). With the launch of V2 model, they have stepped away from the original Uniswap “look and feel” and redesigned the entire code base from scratch, a unique experience we decided to deliver to the Fantom community.

The unique selling point stems from the fact that we have taken the best bits of defi and curated these products and functions into a mega hub of all things DeFi. In an AMM, liquidity providers simply deposit a pair of tokens and an algorithm automatically makes markets for the token pair.

Traders can easily swap between tokens in the AMM and get guaranteed rates for the swaps. Each swap on SpiritSwap incurs a fee, which gets distributed between partnership protocols, liquidity providers and inSPIRIT holders.

Embrace your DeFi SPIRIT

The SpiritSwap protocol captures the essence of everything Defi 2.0 on the Fantom network, delivering a complete hub for trading, lending and borrowing, reward sharing, staking delegations, and farming.

Exchange

SpiritSwap V2 has been upgraded to take advantage of multiple AMM models, combining them into one power house and using unique master router to give both traders and liquidity providers the best of both worlds.

SpiritSwaps DEX utilizes a combination of vAMM (Solidly) and Balanced AMM (Balancer) infrastructure to accommodate the needs of both traders and Liquidity providers alike. With the eventual implementation of weighted pools SpiritSwap limit user exposure to IL (Impermanent Loss) while also offering premium cost efficiency for traders who use our DEX.

Read on for a more in-depth rundown surrounding the math and technical aspects of each respective AMM model that executes trades through our master router.

vAMM

SpiritSwap provides users a simple way to swap tokens on Fantom via automated liquidity pools SpiritSwap provides users a simple way to swap tokens on Fantom via automated liquidity pools. In a swap, one token is sold to buy another token.

Liquidity

An explanation of the formulas used when engaging our our DEX’s Liquidity pools. This section breaks down liquidity provision into three segments, addressing the multiple liquidity pool types that our DEX offers.

vAMM

SpiritSwap offers users a simple way to provide liquidity for tokens on Fantom via automated liquidity pools (LPs). To become a liquidity provider on SpiritSwap, a user must deposit equal values of two tokens. In return, they receive SPIRIT-LP tokens (SpiritSwap Liquidity Pool tokens). SPIRIT-LP tokens represent a proportional share of the given LP and liquidity providers may claim their underlying tokens anytime. Liquidity providers receive a 0.25% fee for every swap that is made in their pair. The 0.25% fee is directly added back to the LP, increasing the value of SPIRIT-LP tokens. Liquidity providers can also participate in yield farming with supported LPs.

Balanced AMM (V2.1)

The balanced AMM is a fork of the Balancer AMM architecture. This enables better trade pricing and peg maintenance of stable pairs and offers the ability to offer weighted pools.

First of all, SpiritSwap would like to give credit to the team at Balancer for architecting this supreme piece of technology. SpiritSwap aims to curate the best bits of DeFi available and house them in a central hub that supports the SpiritSwap ecosystem, this portion of innovation was a must have for V2 hybrid model.

Protocol Fees

This section covers the various AMM fee structures for each respective “pool type” that SpiritSwap V2 encompasses.

With SpiritSwap implementing a hybrid AMM model for our V2 DEX, we now support a plethora of liquidity pool types. Each respective pool type has its own unique fee structure, composed to compliment the architecture of each pool as well as the ecosystem supporting each pool type

Moving forward, SpiritSwap will be reducing fees from 0.3% to 0.18% for classic vAMM while establishing an even more competitive fee for our new stable AMM at a respectable 0.01%.
