Binance’s “Road to Compliance” adds dawn: Obtained a permanent operating license in Kazakhstan and registered in New Zealand

The “Compliance Road” of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance has been implemented for a long time. Not long ago, it successfully registered as a financial service provider in New Zealand, and officially established the “Binance New Zealand Station“. Bringing good news! On October 6, Binance issued a document stating that it has obtained a permanent operating license from the Kazakh authorities to operate locally as a digital asset platform and provide custody services.

Being awarded a permanent license is far-reaching

Binance noted that being granted a perpetual license means Binance becomes a regulated platform in Kazakhstan and demonstrates Binance’s strong compliance and security. The Binance platform will be authorized to provide digital asset trading and conversion services, fiat currency collection and withdrawal, cryptocurrency custody and exchange trading.

At the same time, Kazakh individuals and legal entities, regardless of their country or region, can register for a Binance account online, and the range of services available on the Binance platform will increase over time. Gleb Kostarev, head of Binance Asia, said

We are happy to see that Kazakhstan is striving to become a leader in the new digital technology and cryptocurrency ecosystem. The government has made significant changes to the relevant legislative and regulatory environment, thereby setting the highest standards of compliance for cryptocurrency platforms. We are proud that Binance has taken another step on the road to becoming a compliance-focused exchange.

Binance Registers as a Financial Services Provider in New Zealand

In order to expand the company’s global compliance footprint, Binance has never stopped. In addition to obtaining a permanent license from Kazakhstan, the cryptocurrency exchange recently registered as a financial services provider in New Zealand and officially established Binance New Zealand provides a series of financial services, including spot trading, token pledge, NFT, etc.

Prior to this, Binance had obtained registration licenses in France , Italy, Spain and other countries. Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said, “The decision to register in New Zealand is of great strategic significance for Binance, a decentralized global enterprise.” He continued

Many major technology companies have been slow to start operations in New Zealand. I suspect that some companies may feel that New Zealand is a relatively small market, but in our view, there is significant strategic value in deploying New Zealand. New Zealand’s history of fintech innovation is well known. From a global perspective, New Zealand is one of the earliest and fastest growing countries in digital transactions.

Binance New Zealand will be led by General Manager Ben Rose. Before that, Ben Rose was the Commercial Director of CodeHQ, New Zealand’s leading software development company. He stated

The establishment of Binance New Zealand is a big event for New Zealand investors and those interested in Web3. The registration and establishment of the world’s leading crypto asset companies not only means that investors can enjoy the lowest transaction fees, but also means that New Zealanders can expect to be exposed to the most exciting product and service innovation in the field of crypto assets.
